Merwarth – Gloria Joan Merwarth, age 86, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on May 14, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1937, in River Rouge, Michigan to the late Genrell Louria and Elizabeth Rozek Louria. Gloria met the love of her life, Mark, while she was attending nursing school. They shared 64 beautiful years of marriage. Gloria retired in 1997 after 37 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She had the honor of having scholarships set up in her name through Winter Park Hospital. Gloria and Mark were avid walkers. They participated in 10k walks in all 50 states and even participated in a few overseas. They were also members of the American Volkssport Association. Gloria was passionate about her family and adored spending time with them. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and the best sister ever. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon.

A Celebration of Gloria's Life will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church with Father Bui officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
