Obituary

Alexander - Geraldine Alexander, age 80, of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be in the loving arms of her Father on April 8, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1944, in Wilkes County North Carolina to her loving parents, Willis Amos Alexander and Ola Mae Burchette Alexander.

Geraldine was a homemaker for many years then went to work for FoxMyer as a pharmaceutical rep. After many years traveling and working for FoxMyer she then went into customer service where she remained until she retired. After her retirement she loved decorating her house, watching movies, decorating shows and old westerns on TV, listening to old rock (her favorite radio station 96.9) and going on shopping trips as she said, "just to look at things".  She loved to travel when she got the chance to visit family in North Carolina. One of her favorite past times was talking to old friends and co-workers. She was a very lovable and social person who never met a stranger. She would start talking to whoever was around at that moment whether it be at the gas station or the doctor's office, it did not matter.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edason James (Jay), Talmage, Amos, Jr., Phillip Eugene Alexander; sisters, Carolyn Marie Alexander and Rosalee Leggett; and a beloved grandson, Eric Brandon Wallace.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Michael Byrd (Tina); daughter, Tammy Wallace (Claude); grandchildren, Aaron and Christopher Wallace, Megan and William Byrd; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Jenny Jolly (Doug); numerous nephews, nieces, and a very special niece, Wanda Nichols (Donald).

The tribute above was prepared by Geraldine's loving family.

A Celebration of Geraldine's Life will be held at a later date. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770. Visit www.nassaufh.com to sign the family's guest book.
