Gill - Freida Louise Gill, mother to Hank Gill, Diane Yubas, Jimmy Gill, and Kathryn Walker, passed away on December 14, 2023, at Life Care Center of Hilliard. Her final moments were spent peacefully in Hospice Care in Jacksonville, surrounded by family.  She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 19, 1935, to the late Louis Brown and Bessie Malphurs Brown. She was known for her kind, gentle, generous spirit, and loving nature. She always put others before herself. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her relationship to God was an inspiration to us all. We know she is with all the people she loves who have gone before her. Freida's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.

Freida is survived by her sister, Loralee Wertz; children, Jimmy Gill and Kathryn Walker; grandchildren, Diana Gill, Shannon Carr, Shawn Busch, Shellby Brock, Ashley Deguzman & Bryant Gill; great grandchildren, Baileigh Carney, Emily Carney, Ava Melby, Victor Busch, Reagan Deguzman, Allie Deguzman, Sydney Deguzman, John Brock, Gavin Brock, Logan Brock, and Gabriella Gill.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 10:00 am at Verdie Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida with Chaplain Jim Cox officiating. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. Flowers are welcome but not necessary.
