Vanzant - Freddie Blake Vanzant, age 75, of Hilliard, FL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2020. He was born on July 31, 1945 in Folkston, GA to James Ollie Vanzant and Helen Blake Vanzant.  Freddie was a graduate of Hilliard High School and a Veteran having served in the US Army in Vietnam.  Freddie was a life-long member of the Ephesus Baptist Church in King's Ferry.  Freddie loved his family and always had a smile to share with anyone he visited.  His primary hobby was caring for his herd of cows.  Freddie spent countless hours caring for them and could tell you the lineage of any of his herd members. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents.

Freddie is survived by his siblings; Louise Vanzant Yawn (Gary Yawn), Grady James Vanzant (Barbara Clarke Vanzant), and Lonnie Jackson Vanzant (Tina Crews Vanzant).  Freddie is also survived by his niece, Leslie Yawn McCullough (Matthew McCullough) and his great-nephews Matthis and Memphis McCullough.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 11 am at Brickyard Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Lee officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 5-7 pm at Nassau Funeral Home.
