Obituary

Faith Harlene Heidle, 88, of Callahan, Florida, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on December 1, 2025, at 9:06 AM, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 6, 1936, to Harley and Lois Harlow, Faith lived a life marked by perseverance, dedication, and love. She proudly served her country in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) from 1955–1958. After her military service, she spent 30 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, including roughly 20 years in labor and delivery, welcoming new life into the world, and the remainder caring for the elderly in nursing homes. Her compassion reached across generations.

On August 21, 1958, Faith married Jack Riddle, the love of her life, and they shared their years together until Jack's passing on January 24, 1978. She raised three children with strength and unwavering devotion.

Faith's relationship with the Lord shaped her entire life. Her favorite scripture was John 11:35 — "Jesus wept" — because it revealed both Jesus's humanity and divinity. She passed on her faith to her family, and she played a pivotal role in nurturing the pastoral calling of her son, Bodie.

She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, diamond art, and gathering with her family. Her gentle humor, tender heart, and steady presence left a lasting imprint on everyone she knew.

Faith is survived by her children, Bodie (Robin) Riddle, Sheryl (Erik) Williams, and Harley (Judy) Riddle; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind extended family, church family, and friends who loved her dearly.

Faith is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Cleve Harlow; her sister, Sharon Houston; and her husband, Jack Riddle.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Callahan Methodist Church, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, officiated by her son, Pastor Bodie Riddle. A fellowship meal will follow the service. Interment will take place at Springfield National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770. Visit www.nassaufh.com to sign the family's guest book.
