Wilson - Edna Evelena Wilson, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 12, 2020 at her home in Hilliard, Fl. She was born May 10, 1936 in Pierce County Georgia, to Annie Laura Terrell & Elijah Lloyd Aspinwall. She had 4 sisters. She was married to Earl Wilson for 68 wonderful years. The couple had no children but had several nieces and nephews they loved very much, along with friends who became family along the way. Many have been blessed to have learned valuable lessons from her. When she gave her life to the Lord, it was no secret. She loved him & wanted everyone to know him as well. She gave to many causes, she loved traveling to camp meetings, & loved listening to gospel music. Her favorite song was "Never been this homesick before." She loved riding in the car with Sheri (Evelena's daughter as she would call her) and singing that song. When the song would end, she'd say "Hit it again Sheri."

Family, Friends, & others whose lives Evelena touched are invited to attend a "Celebration of Life" ceremony for her on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 12:30 p.m at Nassau Funeral Home in Callahan. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lannie Rd in Jacksonville, Fl. The family will receive friends on Thursday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
