Maddox – Eugene Maddox, age 79, of Callahan, Florida went home to be with the Lord with family by his side on May 4, 2020. He was born on January 1, 1941 in Eastman, Georgia to Millege Brooks Maddox and Vertula Allen Maddox. Eugene was a fun-loving guy with a big heart who loved his family dearly especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and 3 sisters.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Maddox of Callahan, FL; sons, Randy (Rhonda) Maddox of Callahan, FL, David (Michelle) of Callahan, FL, Timothy (Marie) Maddox of Callahan, FL; brothers, Ricky Lee Maddox of Hilliard, FL, Raymond Maddox of Callahan, FL, Jimmie Maddox of Hilliard, FL; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Eugene will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hilliard, FL with Pastor Todd Carr officiating.  Pallbearers will be Randy Maddox, Jr., Edward Maddox, Dustin Maddox, Anthony Maddox, Clay Evans and Billy Minshew.  In lieu of flowers for the cemetery, the family would prefer house plants to enjoy at their home.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770.
