Obituary

Donald Albert Denmark, Jr., age 67, of Callahan, Florida passed away on November 1, 2026. Born on October 22, 1959, to the late Donald Albert Denmark, Sr. and Dolores Ann Barnhill, Don was a goodhearted man who loved the outdoors and enjoyed the simple things in life. Many knew him as “Double D,” a name that will surely bring back memories for those who knew him. If you knew Don, you knew his love for hunting. He ALWAYS loved to hunt, and if he wasn’t hunting, you could probably find him fishing and if not, he had his best friend Paislee Grace with him going on adventures. Don also spent many years working as a Tugboat Captain, a career that was a big part of his life. Don will be remembered for his good heart, his love for the outdoors, his hunting and fishing stories, and the memories he made along the way. His absence will leave a hole in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will live on through the people who knew him best. Don is preceded in death by his parents; his former wife and best friend, Samantha Farhat Denmark; along with many other beloved family members and friends who passed before him.

Don leaves behind his daughter, Brooke (Aaron) Johnson; and his three grandchildren, Paislee Grace Denmark, Aspyn Johnson, and Barrett Johnson, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their Poppi. He is also survived by his siblings, Darrell (Shelli) Denmark and Donna Denmark; his stepmother, Brenda Denmark; uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Rest easy, Double D. You’ll forever be loved, missed, and remembered. ❤️
