Young – Dennis Melvin Young, age 81, of Bryceville, Florida passed away on September 3, 2021. He was born on October 9, 1939 in Forest Hill, Louisiana to Benjamin Young and Alice Austin Young. After receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Dennis went on to pursuing a career at JEA as an electrical engineer while remaining in the military reserves for the Air Force. He then retired from both.  In his spare time, Dennis enjoyed watching Western movies, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, and spending time with his family. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anne Young.

Dennis is survived by his children, Angela (Don) Slone, Patty (Jim) Austin, Denise (Billy) Howard, Vernice (Michael) Sykes, Elizabeth Young; brother, Richard (Madge) Young; grandchildren, Daniel, Jonathan, James, Bryan, Matthew, Sarah, Christina, Emily, Rabecca, Malcolm, Katelyn; 12 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Dennis will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Deryle Adkison officiating.  Family will receive friends from 9:00 -10:30 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home prior to the service.
