Allen – Delmar Lloyd Allen, Jr., age 88, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on November 21, 2022.  He was born in McAllen, Texas on February 27, 1934, to the late Delmar Lloyd Allen, Sr. and Leila Gamble Allen. Delmar attended from Lee High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Delmar served his community as a police officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for 28 years.  Delmar enjoyed the simple things in life such as socializing over a cup of coffee with friends, tinkering with what knots, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Delmar Allen, III; sister, Virginia Johns; niece, Merle Johns.

Delmar leaves behind his loving wife, Joanne Allen; children, Jonathan Brown, Julianne (Luis) Cauich, Reid (Lisa) Allen, David (Stephanie) Allen; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; nephew, Jerry Johns.

A Graveside Service for Delmar will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
