Fossick – Deborah Gail Fossick, age 71, of Hilliard, Florida passed from the earth and went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born on October 22, 1951, in Macon, Georgia, daughter of the late Barney Howard Cardell and Shirley Jo Browning.

Deborah married Haley "Sonny" Wilhoyt Fossick, Jr. on February 27, 1974, in Miami, Florida where she grew up and graduated high school in 1969. They were married for 27 years when he passed away in 2001 and she then became a widow.

For over 23 years of exemplary service to the students, parents, school, transportation department, and the Nassau County School Board, Deborah retired from being a school bus driver. She attended church at Hilliard First Assembly of God, loved reading God's word and sharing the gospel to everyone. Deborah loved spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Deborah put everyone else first, always cared for her family, and loved ones. She will be missed dearly.

Deborah is survived by children, Sheri (Brian) McCaffrey of Indianapolis, IN, Scott Fossick of Hilliard, FL, Brian Fossick of Hilliard, FL; daughter in law, Jessica Vanzant of Hilliard, FL; grandchildren, Lindi (James) Hubble of Kentucky, Kenzie McCaffrey, Riley (Savana) McCaffrey, Brian McCaffrey, Jr., Trevor McCaffrey all of Indianapolis, IN, Gage Fossick of Hilliard, FL, Brailen Fossick of Hilliard, FL, Nevaeh Rippel of Green Cove Springs, FL; great grandchild, Liam McCaffrey; sister, Donna Evelyn Conner of Orange Park, FL.
