Darrell Eugene
Patterson
May 20, 1958 — Oct 21, 2026
Callahan
Darrell Eugene Patterson, age 68, passed away on October 21, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and a love that will never be forgotten.
Darrell was many things throughout his life. He was hardworking, funny, protective, outspoken, and sometimes stubborn. But above all else, he was an extraordinary father.
If there was one thing that defined Darrell, it was the fierce and unconditional love he had for each and every one of his nine children. There was nothing he wouldn't do for them. He was the father who showed up, who could be counted on when life became difficult, and who somehow always found a way to make his children laugh, even on the darkest of days.
Darrell loved fiercely. It wasn't simply something he said; it was something he lived.
Alongside the love he had for his children was the extraordinary love he shared with his fiancée, Brandy Robinson. She was his everything, his partner, and a beautiful part of the life they built together.
Together, they shared the joy of raising their eight-year-old daughter, Isabella, who was truly her daddy's world.
Isabella came into Darrell's life at a different season, when he was able to give her the time, attention, and everyday moments that hadn't always been possible when his older children were young. In Isabella, he found another beautiful opportunity to experience fatherhood, to slow down, to be present, and to pour his enormous heart into watching his little girl grow.
But whether his children were grown or still small enough to hold his hand, his love for them was immeasurable. Each of his nine children held a place in his heart that belonged to them alone.
Darrell is survived by his beloved fiancée, Brandy Robinson; his children, Jody Davis, Gina Kent, Paul Patterson, Joseph Patterson, Samantha Patterson, Xander Robinson, Jakub-Edward Patterson, and Isabella Patterson; and his cherished grandchildren, Cadence Patterson, Kaylee Davis, Jacob Davis, Chloe Garren, Austin Garren, James Kent, and Kouvr Robinson.
Darrell was preceded in death by his beloved son, Kevin Patterson, who held a place in his father's heart that even death could never take away. Though Kevin was already in heaven, he remained forever one of Darrell's nine children, loved beyond words and never forgotten.
Darrell wasn't a perfect man. He was a real man, with a strong personality, a stubborn streak, a sense of humor, and a heart capable of extraordinary love. He was simply Dad, and to his children, that meant more than words could ever express.
Darrell’s passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, but his love will continue to live on through his children, through Brandy, through his grandchildren, and through every person fortunate enough to have known him.
Darrell Eugene Patterson loved fiercely, and he was fiercely loved in return. His love was his greatest gift, his children his greatest legacy, and his memory will live on forever.
The tribute above was prepared by Darrell’s loving family.
