Catherine "Kathie" Gertrude Butwil (nee Hyde) of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at 77 years on December 17, 2024, after a prolonged illness. Her love for her family radiated glowingly. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William "Bill" C. Butwil, Jr. also of Jacksonville.  Kathie was immensely proud of her six thriving children, Steven Webb (Tina) and Rick Webb of Golden, Mississippi, Karie (Webb) Tucker (Joe) of Bryceville, Florida, Kandi (Otterness) Perino (John) and Jaime Butwil (Tammy) from Illinois, and Terry Butwil (Le Ann) of Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was Grandma to seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Kathie is also survived by sister, Nancy Lee Ciriacks (nee Hyde) of Saukville, Wisconsin. Born in Kenosha, Kathie lived for many years at the family's home in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ted Hyde and Lidia Christine Sachs; and brother, William "Bill" E. Hyde Sr., all former residents of Pleasant Prairie. Known as "Aunt Kay" by her nieces and nephews, she provided unconditional love and support. Kathie was a cherished member of the extended Butwil family. Her warm and welcoming nature allowed her to create fast and lasting friendships.

Kathie loved family gatherings and decorating, baking, and shopping, especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She crocheted many Afghans to give as presents and spent many Wisconsin summers camping and fishing. A life-long animal lover, she loved her little dogs the most, most recently Mikey, Missy, and Miley. Bowling and playing cards were also hobbies. Kathie worked her entire adult life up until her retirement.  From her beginnings working as a waitress and cashier, she worked in packing at Manutronics/Sanmina in Pleasant Prairie and later in shipping at Fox Electronics in Fort Myers, Florida.

We will all immensely miss her.
