Green – Brenda Joe Green, age 74, of Callahan, Florida passed away on July 28, 2020. Brenda was born on February 5, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Chalmers Parks Gibbs and Hattie Orlean Mullis (Gibbs).  Brenda moved from Jacksonville to Nassau County in 1970 and she has been a resident ever since.  Brenda was a member of First Baptist Church Callahan where she enjoyed attending church services.  Brenda enjoyed cooking, camping and her pet bird "Hombre."  She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Troy Thomas Gibbs and sister, Francis Nushan.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Earnest Green; sons, Darrin Christopher Green of Jacksonville, FL and Danny (Misty) Wade Green of Charleston, SC; sister, Pat Flowers of Callahan, FL; grandchildren, Isabella Green, Garrison Green, Hannah Green, Maele Green, and Gannon Green.

A Celebration of Brenda's life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.  The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770.
