Orange Par, Florida
Brenda Evon (Pergerson) Conklin, age 58, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on November 21, 1967, in Waukegan, Illinois, Brenda was the daughter of the late Calvin Leroy Pergerson and Mary Elizabeth Herrin.
Brenda was a true Southern belle with a kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith in God. A devoted Baptist, faithful wife, and loving mother, she dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her family through her work as a Medical Assistant, where she found fulfillment in helping others. Brenda was always willing to lend a helping hand and would do anything for the people she held dear.
Brenda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved making memories with those closest to her and cherishing life’s simple pleasures. She also had a special love for animals. When Brenda smiled, her eyes smiled too, and those around her could feel the warmth and love behind it. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle nature were evident in the love she shared with both people and animals. Above all, Brenda treasured the time spent surrounded by those she loved.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Conklin; children, Justin LeClair and Sarah LeClair; granddaughter, Sophia LeClair; brothers, Brian Mack (Stacy) and R.P. Mack; and nephew, Jimmy Harrison, Jr., whom she lovingly cared for. She also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends. Brenda will also be dearly missed by her beloved dogs, Suzy, Ozzy, Peanut, Luna, Dixie, and Lucy.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Leroy Pergerson and Mary Elizabeth Herrin; beloved sister, Virginia “Ginny” Mack; and cherished granddaughter, Abgail LeClair.
Brenda will forever be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and unconditional love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her kindness, compassion, and the love she shared so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her memory will be cherished always, and her legacy of love will never be forgotten.
The tribute above was prepared by Brenda’s loving family.
