Bobby F.
Griffin
Apr 28, 1937 — Jul 29, 2025
With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Bobby Freddie Griffin, who went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born on April 28,1937, in Stillmore, Georgia, Mr. Griffin was the son of the late Beulah M. Miles and Thomas H. Griffin. He was one of several siblings in a loving close-knit family and carried those strong family values with him throughout his life.
Mr. Griffin was the husband of the late Mrs. Rita Dianne Griffin, with whom he shared a long and loving marriage. Together, they built a life centered on unwavering faith, enduring love, and strong family bonds. Mr. Griffin was a deeply devoted family man, known for his steady presence, quiet strength, and unconditional support for those he loved.
Mr. Griffin proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, a chapter of his life that exemplified his dedication to duty, discipline, and patriotism. Upon his honorable discharge, he began a long and dedicated career as a commercial truck driver.
Mr. Griffin was also an avid reader of Scripture, finding strength and wisdom in the Word of God. He also enjoyed watching football (Go Gators! Go Jags!) and took great pride in maintaining his yard.
Mr. Griffin leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in the lives of his beloved son, Scott Griffin; along with his grandchildren, Brittany (Allen) Cox, Johnathan Conard, Courtney Griffin, Shaun (Jessica) Griffin, Dylan Griffin, Madison Murphy, and Makenzie Murphy; and his great-grandchildren, Noah Cox, Brinleigh Barr, Ashleigh Griffin, and Charleigh Griffin.
Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Rita Griffin; his son, Robert Griffin; and his siblings, Paulene Griffin, Laurene Allen, Christine Robinson, Martha Lee Willis, Troy Griffin, James Griffin, Thomas Jefferson "TJ" Griffin, Tiny Sirmons, and Barbara Ann Sanders.
Mr. Griffin held dearly the memory of his parents, Beulah and Thomas, and often expressed his hope and faith in being reunited one day with his beloved wife, son, and parents in eternal peace.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff at UF Health North and Community Hospice Jane and Bill Warner Center for Caring for their compassionate care and support.
The tribute above was prepared by Mr. Griffin's loving family.
