Yell - Betty Joy Yell, age 80, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024. She was born in Dalhart, Texas to the late Milam DeFries and Lois DeFries. Betty was proud to be a resident of Jacksonville and called it home. She loved her four children, Eddie, Robyn, Tracy and Emalee. Betty enjoyed gardening, crafting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, and grandmother that will be dearly missed. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles DeFries, Scott DeFries, Roy DeFries, Pete DeFries and Jimmy DeFries.

Betty leaves behind her loving children, Eddie Yell, Robyn Yancy, Tracy Walters and Emalee Roderick; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
