In loving memory of Betty Vaughn Jackson, age 90, of Callahan, Florida a devoted Christian, mother, nana, great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the community hospice and palliative care in Fernandina Beach, Florida on July 13, 2025.

Betty was born to Cleo and Annie Bell Vaughn on July 27, 1934, in Royston, Georgia. She retired from the Georgia Pacific Mill in Palatka, Florida after 25 years, then proceeded to work 13 more years at the Hodges Poultry Farm. Betty loved the Lord, loved attending church at Rehoboth Christian Fellowship, taking trips, and spending time with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diane Crews, Tammy (Scott) Hemmingway; son, Stephen (April) Jackson; step-daughter, Wanda Mitchell; brothers, Donald Vaughn, Kerry (Judy) Vaughn; sister, Pauline Geer; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) King, Dawn James, Tommy Wilkerson, Jason Jackson, Carol Bostic, Leslie (Ricky) Jones, Kristen Jackson, Bo (Kristie) Crews, Casie (Chase) Price, Jordan Hemmingway, Kaitlin (Adam) Prescott, Stephen Jackson, and Justin (Savannah) Jackson; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Preceded her in death are her parents, Cleo and Annie Bell Vaughn; her husband, Stephen Jackson; sons, Jerry Jackson, Tony Jackson, and Mike Jackson; daughter and her husband, Debbie & Robert Lloyd; stepdaughter, Sherry Dunn; son-in-law, Buddy Crews; grandsons, Tony Jackson & Joe Jackson; brother, Marshall Vaughn; sisters, Wynna Sliverling, Barbara Bennett, and Patsy Nelson.

A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rehoboth Christian Fellowship, 4108 Highway 252, Folkston, GA 31537, with Pastor Lisa King, Pastor Tim Vaughn and Pastor Donald Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
