Tanner – Bertie Flowers Tanner, age 84, of Callahan, Florida went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1937 in Moultrie, GA to Chase Flowers and Ludie Mae Tucker Flowers. Bertie was the Treasurer of her church and was a very faithful member.  She took pride in being a master gardener, was a Treasurer and member of the Garden Club for many years.  Bertie was one of a kind, one that never put herself first, one that was willing to help anyone who was in need.  No matter what it took, Bertie came through and made it happen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Tanner; brother, Charles Flowers.

Bertie leaves behind her sister-in-law, Patricia Flowers; niece, Teresa Flowers; and a multitude of extended family members that will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Bertie's Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Callahan with Rev. Dan Search officiating.  Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
