Ridenour – Beatrice Robb Ridenour, age 85, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026. She was born in Montrose, Scotland on March 20, 1941, to the late James Robb Fletcher and Mary Whyte Fletcher. At the age of 15, Beatrice moved to Cleveland, Ohio, which is where she met the love of her life. She was a beloved wife to Donald “Butch “, with whom she shared a wonderful marriage since April 23, 1960. They later settled in St. Augustine, Florida when Beatrice was 30 years of age, where they spent nearly two decades. Following Butch's passing, Beatrice found her final home in Jacksonville, Florida. Her life was enriched by her passions which included playing cards, board games, and bingo. Her playful spirit often led her to bend the rules and was often caught cheating while her opponents weren’t looking. Beatrice also enjoyed going to the beach, knitting, crocheting, and baking delicious goodies with her granddaughter, Jessica. Known affectionately as a spitfire, Beatrice’s zest for life and love for those around her will continue to inspire and be remembered. May her legacy of love and laughter continue to shine bright in our hearts. Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Butch” Harland Ridenour; sons, John, Donnie, Ronnie, and James 'Jamie'; grandson, John “Butchie” Ridenour; and sisters, Aloma and Alice.

Beatrice leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica, John, Aiden, Noah, Joey, Veronica; niece, Debbie Guzzo; and daughter-in-law, Patty McSpadden.
