Hutchinson – Barbara Jean "Gidget" Hutchinson, age 78, of Callahan, Florida passed away on April 10, 2025, in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1947, to the late Leo Patrick McGovern and Clarice Jean McGovern. Barbara was a waitress at the Hilton and Holiday Inn hotels.  She also worked at Cato.  Barbara played the keyboard in her husband of 56 years band Tom Hutchinson & Cylo. She enjoyed working in her yard. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Terrence "Terry" Lee McGovern.

Barbara is survived by her brother, Wayne McGovern (Tsai Hsia) of TN, loving sons, Kimbal (Sherry) Hutchinson and Thomas Watson Hutchinson, III both of Callahan, FL; grandsons, Derek Hutchinson, Ryan Hutchinson, and Thomas Ray Hutchinson; two great granddaughters, Leia Hutchinson and Anastaysia Violet Hutchinson; two great grandsons, Dylan Zachary Hutchinson and Kayden Darrell Hutchinson; and her poodle, Shelly.

A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Dr. Lynn Hyatt officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
