Spires – Austin Riley Spires, age 26, of Callahan, passed away on February 25, 2021.  Austin was born on October 7, 1994 in Jacksonville, FL to Brian Edward Spires and Ella Marie Gay.  Austin graduated from Yulee High School in 2013.  He loved to cook and feeding people brought him so much joy. Austin had a passion for hunting and fishing.  He was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his Pappaw, John Rehberg, Papa, Ernest Spires, Poppy, Darrell Green.

Austin leaves behind his father, Brian Spires (Laura Forshee) of Hilliard, FL; mother, Ella (Eddie) Gay of Jacksonville, FL; step-mother, Torin Perry of Callahan, FL; brother, Trevor (Kelsey) Perry of Bryceville, FL; grandparents, Nana, Ethel Parsley of Jacksonville, FL, Mimi, Mary Spires of Jacksonville, FL, Gran-Gran, Janie Wallis of Jacksonville, FL, Papa Joe, Joe Gay of Hazlehurst, GA; Mimi, Marsha Fuquay, Hilliard, FL, Mammaw, Quay Rehberg of Jacksonville, FL; aunts; Christy (Jason) Braughton of Fruit Cove, FL, Michelle Spires of Glen St. Mary, FL, Hope (Kurt) Ferguson of Jacksonville, FL; uncle, Kasey (Lily) Herrington of Hazlehurst, GA; numerous cousins; countless special friends.
