Eveskcige – Anita Alton Eveskcige, age 77, of Callahan, Florida passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024. She was born on October 20, 1946, in Vero Beach, Florida to the late Glenn E. Smith and Mamie Alice Crosby Smith. Anita was a former employee of Bio Med in Guilford, Connecticut. She dedicated many years to making respirators for infants, a testament to her nurturing and caring nature. Anita retired in 2017 and relocated to Callahan, Florida, to be closer to her daughter, Monica. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, and watching episodes of Longmire. More than anything, Anita cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, who will remember her as a loving and devoted family member. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her. Anita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Flea Eveskcige; son, Kenneth Jordan; infant daughter, Brandie Denise; brothers, Donald Smith, Gary Smith; and sister, Patti Hardin.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Monica (Ricky) Ursry of Callahan, FL; brother, Jimmy (Sandy) Smith of Vero Beach, FL; daughter in law, Shani Jordan of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Tiffany Jordan of Vero Beach, FL, Joseph (Daphne) Jordan of Colorado Springs, CO, Christopher Atkinson of Callahan, FL, Kaylee Ursry of Valdosta, GA, Dalton Jordan of Vero Beach, FL, Miranda Jordan of Vero Beach, FL; 10 great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Memorial Service for Anita will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Barney officiating. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US Hwy 1, Callahan FL 32011, 904-879-1770.
